1. Overview

Cats.ie giveaways and competitions (the “Giveaways”) are organised by MEOWOOF LIMITED, the owner and operator of Cats.ie.
These Terms apply to all Giveaways run on Cats.ie, including those hosted via RafflePress and/or promoted on Cats.ie’s official social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, and the Cats Ireland Facebook Group).
By entering a Giveaway, you agree to these Terms and our general Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy.

2. Eligibility

  • Entrants must be residents of the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland.
  • Entrants must be 18 years or older at the time of entry.
  • Employees of MEOWOOF LIMITED, their immediate families, and contractors involved in the Giveaway are not eligible.
  • Each Giveaway may specify additional eligibility or entry conditions in its individual announcement post.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win unless otherwise stated.

3. Entry Methods

Giveaways are managed through RafflePress, integrated on Cats.ie.

  • Each Giveaway page clearly outlines available entry actions (e.g. visiting our site, following Cats.ie on social media, sharing a post, subscribing to our newsletter, etc.).
  • Each valid entry action earns a defined number of entries in the draw.
  • Incomplete, automated, or fraudulent entries are void.

All entries must be received before the stated closing date. Late entries will not be accepted.

4. Social Media Disclaimer

Giveaways promoted on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or WhatsApp are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with these platforms.
By entering, you acknowledge that you are providing your information to Cats.ie and not to Meta, ByteDance, or any social media network.

5. Prize Details

  • Each Giveaway will specify the prize, number of winners, closing date, and selection method on its entry page.
  • Prizes may include physical items (e.g. merchandise, vouchers) or digital rewards (e.g. ad credits, subscription time).
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless stated otherwise.
  • If a prize becomes unavailable, Cats.ie reserves the right to substitute it with one of equal or higher value.

6. Winner Selection

  • Winners are chosen randomly using the automated selection system in RafflePress Pro, ensuring fairness and transparency.
  • The draw will take place within 7 days of the Giveaway closing date.
  • Winners will be contacted via email and/or direct message using the contact details provided at entry.
  • If a winner cannot be contacted within 7 days, a new winner will be drawn.
  • Winner names may be published on Cats.ie and its official social channels (first name and county only, for privacy).

7. Delivery of Prizes

  • Physical prizes are shipped free within Ireland and Northern Ireland.
  • Winners must provide a valid postal address within 7 days of notification.
  • Cats.ie is not responsible for lost or delayed mail caused by postal or courier services.
  • Digital prizes (vouchers, credits) will be sent electronically to the winner’s registered email.

8. Data Protection & Privacy

Cats.ie collects the following data for Giveaway administration:

  1. Name
  2. Email address
  3. County
  4. Entry actions (e.g. social follows, shares)

Data is processed in accordance with the GDPR and the Cats.ie Privacy Policy.

  • Data is used solely for administering the Giveaway and contacting winners.
  • All Giveaway data is deleted or anonymised within 12 months after prize delivery.
  • You may request deletion or correction of your data at any time by emailing privacy@cats.ie.

By entering, you consent to Cats.ie processing your data for Giveaway purposes.

9. Disqualification

Cats.ie reserves the right to disqualify entries that:

  • Are incomplete or fraudulent;
  • Violate social media or advertising laws;
  • Breach the Community Guidelines;
  • Use multiple fake identities or bots;

Engage in harassment or abuse.
All decisions by Cats.ie are final and binding.

10. Liability

MEOWOOF LIMITED is not liable for:

  • Lost, delayed, or misdirected entries or messages;
  • Technical malfunctions or internet issues;
  • Damaged, delayed, or lost prizes during delivery;
  • Any injury or loss resulting from participation or prize use, except where caused by negligence.

This Giveaway is conducted in good faith and without commercial obligation beyond prize provision.

11. Taxes

All prizes are awarded tax-free to recipients in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
MEOWOOF LIMITED is not VAT-registered, and no VAT applies to prizes or credits.

12. Fair Play & Conduct

Participants agree to:

  • Enter in good faith and not manipulate systems.
  • Respect other entrants and Cats.ie staff.
  • Refrain from posting offensive or misleading comments about Giveaways.

We reserve the right to ban or block users who repeatedly breach Giveaway integrity.

13. Termination or Modification

Cats.ie may cancel, amend, or suspend any Giveaway if:

  • Fraud, technical failure, or other event compromises fairness;
  • Circumstances beyond our control prevent continuation;
  • Legal requirements change.

If cancelled, no compensation will be provided, but legitimate entries up to that point will
remain valid.

14. Governing Law

Giveaways are governed by Irish law.
Participants agree that disputes will be handled exclusively in the courts of Ireland.
