Add Listing – Rules, Process & Responsible Posting Guide

Before You Post — Read This First 🐾

Every listing on Cats.ie must follow Irish animal welfare legislation and our community standards.
That means:

  • Only healthy, well-cared-for cats may be advertised.
  • All information must be honest and accurate.
  • Cats under 8 weeks old cannot be listed or rehomed.
  • No “free to good home” or “swap” ads are permitted.

This guide explains how to add your listing properly and what to include.
Following it helps your listing get approved faster and reach more people.

Pricing & Promotions

Cats.ie uses simple, transparent, one-time payments for optional visibility.
There are no subscriptions, no automatic renewals, and no mandatory paid options.

Always Free Options (Welfare First)

The following listings always include a free MEOW option and will never be charged:

  • CatALERT (Lost & Found)
Anyone can post a lost or found cat at any time. MEOW alerts are always free.
  • Rescue Adoption Listings
